About the Conference
The Optical Society of India (OSI) and Department of Physics, GJUS&T, Hisar will be organizing an International conference on Advances in Optics and Photonics (ICAOP-2017) to provide a forum for interaction for scientists, researchers, academicians and students worldwide. This will foster the establishment of long term relationship among various institutions from India and all around the world. The conference would include almost all the research areas of optics and photonics to address the challenges related to the light based technologies to further advancements in these niche areas. The scope of the conference would include, but not limited to, the following topics:

The technical program of the conference would include keynote, plenary and invited lectures by renowned researchers from all over the globe. A number of oral and poster presentations would also be included in the technical program. Peer reviewed accepted papers will be published in indexed proceedings of a reputed journal.
We also look forward to have participation from industries in the exhibition to showcase their latest products during the conference. A special industrial session would be arranged in which the representatives can present the profile and product line of their respective companies.
International sponsorship from SPIE, IEEE, OSA is being requested. Organizations from India such as DRDO, SERB, CSIR, DAE, ISRO, INSA etc. are being contacted for sponsorship.
About Optical Society of India:
The Optical Society of India (OSI) was founded in the year 1965 with the objective to promote and diffuse knowledge of optics in all its branches-pure and applied, to encourage, organize and coordinate research activities in the field of optics, to organize meetings, seminars and conferences on varied aspects of optics, and to co-operate with other scientific organizations in all matters of national scientific importance etc. For last four decades or so, the society has been organizing annual national and international conferences. Presently OSI is affiliated to the International Commission of Optics (ICO) and has Memorandum of Understanding with SPIE and OSA.
About GJUS&T Hisar:
Hisar is one of the important places in the state of Haryana in northwestern India It is located 164 Km (102 mi) to the west of New Delhi, India's capital, It is also known as Hisar-e-Firoza. Hisar has a Continental climate with very hot summers and relatively cool winters. Though the most commonly spoken languages are Hindi, Haryanvi and Bagri, yet English is very well understood and spoken. The temperature during February is Maximum (24.70C or 76.50F) and Minimum (8.3 0C or 46.90F)
Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology (GJUS&T) is named after Guru Jambheshwar Ji Maharaj, who was a saint and great environmentalist of 15th century. The University has emerged as a premier institute to inspire, motivate and nature professional excellence and has been accredited “A” Grade by National Assessment and Accreditation since 2002.The University is currently offering 45 regular graduate, post-graduate courses and Doctorate of Philosophy in different streams.
The Department of Physics established in 1996 with the aim to cater the needs of Laser and Optics industry, started a Master's and Research programme in Physics with the thrust areas of Lasers and Photonics, Optical Engineering and Materials Science.
