About UJVNL
Uttarakhand Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited (UJVNL) is a Government of Uttarakhand undertaking responsible for the generation of hydroelectric power in the state. Established in 2003, following the creation of Uttarakhand, UJVNL was formed with the objective of harnessing the immense hydropower potential of the Himalayan rivers in a sustainable and environmentally responsible manner. The organization plays a crucial role in strengthening the state’s power infrastructure while supporting India’s broader renewable energy goals.
Uttarakhand is endowed with fast-flowing rivers such as the Bhagirathi, Alaknanda, Yamuna, and their tributaries, making it one of the most hydropower-rich regions in the country. UJVNL operates and maintains a wide portfolio of small, medium, and large hydropower projects strategically located across the state. These projects contribute significantly to meeting Uttarakhand’s electricity demand and supplying clean energy to the grid through coordination with Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited (UPCL).
Beyond power generation, UJVNL is actively involved in the modernization, renovation, and upgradation of existing hydel stations to improve efficiency, safety, and reliability. The Nigam continuously adopts advanced technologies and best engineering practices to optimize power output while minimizing environmental impact. Special emphasis is placed on dam safety, sediment management, and disaster preparedness, which are critical in the fragile Himalayan ecosystem.
Environmental sustainability and social responsibility are core values of UJVNL. The organization undertakes extensive environmental management measures, including afforestation, catchment area treatment, and biodiversity conservation around project sites. UJVNL also engages in community development initiatives, supporting local employment, infrastructure improvement, and welfare activities in project-affected areas, thereby fostering inclusive growth.
UJVNL aligns its operations with national priorities such as clean energy transition, reduction of carbon emissions, and energy security. By generating renewable hydropower, the Nigam helps reduce dependence on fossil fuels and contributes to climate change mitigation. At the same time, it supports the socio-economic development of Uttarakhand by ensuring reliable power supply for households, industries, and public services.

Conference Highlights
1. Accepted papers will be published in the peer reviewed international journals having ISSN & High Impact factor.
2. Selected Papers will be published in the UGC Care listed international journals (Web of Science)
3. Few very good quality Papers will be published in the Scopus indexed journal having ISSN & High Impact factor.
4. Author will get certificates, one for paper publication in Journal other for paper presentation in conference as per their choice
5. All the papers of the conference will be published in the conference proceeding with ISBN.
6. All the accepted and presented/Non Presented papers will be indexed in Google scholar & IDIIF.
7. Research Paper in absentia is also acceptable.
