About the College
G. S. Tompe Arts, Commerce and Science College, a Multi- Faculty, grant -in -aid institution, offering UG, PG and Ph. D Programmes, affiliated to Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati. It was started by Late Shri Govindraoji Sitaramji Tompe under Govindraoji Sitaramji Tompe Mahavidyalaya Sarvajanik Trust on 1st Jan 1968 with a vision to make education available for the socio-economically backward students of Chandur Bazar Taluka. Our college is one of the oldest college and one of the well-known institutes affiliated to Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati, with most of the facilities to cater to the need of the students in Chandur Bazar area. It has completed fifty glorious years of its existence in 2018. G. S. Tompe Arts, Commerce and Science College, Chandur Bazar was reaccredited with B++ Grade & CGPA 2. 89 (Third Cycle). Presently Hon. Keshavdada Tompe is a chairman, Hon. Bhaskar dada Tompe is the secretary & Dr. V. K. Tompe is the active Member of the trust. Their valuable guidance & moral support has really made this college quite popular amongst the people of Chandur Bazar.
About Women Cell
The Women Cell of the college will look after the welfare of the women employees/ girl students and the redressal of their grievances. The cell will also conduct a survey within the organization and collect suggestions/recommendations from women on issues concerning them so that appropriate action could be taken in the matter with a view to helping them. The special mission of Women Cell is to work towards ensuring that women are recognized as individuals, with equal rights and opportunities in society, including the opportunity to live a peaceful, violence free life. Our Women Cell organizes various programmes to ensure and promote the women's development through these programmes and various activities.
About Conference
Our college is happy to announce that Women Cell in association with IQAC on the occasion of International Women Day is organizing International E- conference For, of and By QUEENS OF ERA-2021 which will be held on 23rd March, 2021 on Zoom Platform. It is our privilege and pleasure to invite you in the e-conference. It aims to be an excellent platform to discuss the current progress in Science, Technology, Commerce & Humanities with the perspective of women. The e- Conference will witness the participation of the professors, scholars, researchers, industry experts and entrepreneurs gathering on a global platform to explore the future prospects and to present the ongoing research activities. You may participate in e-conference and submit the research papers to publish in peer review journal. Through this e-conference we are looking forward to engage, inspire and build next generation leaders. The objective of the e-conference is to promote knowledge and support women in their respective fields to explore their perspective in the global, national, regional and local framework. The one day e-conference will investigate ways in which all factors can work together to ensure that women in all disciplines perceived with dignity and recognized for their abilities. The global outlook shows that women participation and enrollment is indeed increased the number in every profession, but we are expecting to increase their actual working potential in all sectors. Such e-conference will certainly help and encourage them to boost their individuality and promote their research activities.
