National Institute of Technology, Srinagar and A.R.Publications (Conference World) are hosting one day national conference on recent innovations in Science, Technology and Engineering on the campus of NIT Srinagar to contribute to the original research. 

About NIT Srinagar

The venue for the forthcoming conference is the campus of NIT Srinagar, located at Hazratbal Srinagar located on Dal lake banks.

National Institute of Technology, Srinagar is one of the premier Educational Institutes in the northern region of the country. It was established in 1960 and has been one of the eighteen Regional Engineering Colleges sponsored by the Govt. of India during the 2nd Plan. The Institute acquired the status of National Institute of Technology with deemed to be University status during August, 2003 and attained full autonomy in its Academics.

The Institute is situated on the banks of world-famous Dal Lake, with adjoing revered  Hazratbal Shrine. NIT Srinagar is a residential Institute with accommodation facility in hostels and staff-quarters. There are four Boys and one girls hostel housing about 1500 boys and 200 girls. Besides running the B.Tech Programme the Institute also offers M.Tech programme in many streams. In addition to that a large number of students are registered for M.Phil and Ph.D programmes.

About Kashmir

Kashmir is located in Jammu and Kashmir , the northernmost state  of the India. It has its own fully functional international airport, well connected with the airports of rest of the country. Nearest railway station connecting to Srinagar is located at Jammu Tawi. NIT Srinagar is located almost 20 KM away (a half an hour journey) from airport and approximately 300 KM from Jammu Tawi railway station. Vehicles are plying from Jammu Tawi railway station to Srinagar on daily basis taking 6-8 hours.

Kashmir is a world famous touristic place. Valley of Kashmir is a blend of mountains, blossoms, meadows , orchards, fresh water rivers and lakes; in short a paradise. Srinagar has a distinction of having the charm of chain of Mughal Gardens, shrines and house boats in and around the world famous Dal Lake.

Winter in Kashmir starts in the month of December. Even though the trees have a bare look, but with the beauty of the hued gardens snow capped mountains and scenic beauty of place, there is an altogether different charm. The snow covered landscape presents a visual treat. Although from December to the beginning of March is winter time, but it  presents Srinagar in yet another mood. Bare, snow-covered landscapes when watched from presents a joy that cannot be described to anyone who has not experienced it practically. Houseboats and hotels remain open in winter which are either centrally heated or heated with 'bukharis', a typically Kashmiri stove kept alight with embers of wood, quite effective in the winter.

Gulmarg, Sonamarg, Dodhpathri and Pahalgam are the famous tourist attractions while visiting to Kashmir.
